About
Makito Inomata
b. 1976, Nanaimo, Canada
Lives and works in Vancouver.
Makito was born in the temperate rainforests of Vancouver Island where he grew up surrounded not only by the lush biodiversity of nature but also by the rich cultural diversity that is significant to Canada.
He has been working as a commercial photographer for over 15 years. During the outbreak of COVID, he decided to shift his aesthetic sensibilities to his fine art practice.
His work is about exploring the complex nature of emotions, and capturing the hidden beauty surrounding our everyday spaces. He works in both mixed media collage and photography.
